Anasyromenos (άνασυρόμενος) is a style in which the female statuette is lifting her dress to reveal male genitals, a gesture that was believed to have apotropaic qualities, averting evil influences and bestowing good luck.
some sources say “Roman art market”, some say it’s Greece. Can anyone clear this up??
